There are 4 regimental buttons going down the front of the jacket, however there is evidence that it is well worn due to general wear and tear of the garment and a button missing. There are 5 pockets lining the jacket, 2 on the breast and 2 on the hips, all secured with the same regimental buttons that are the same as the ones down the front. There is then one concealed welt pocket on the right-hand side along the belt line. There are 2 Cornwall badges on either side of the collar, decorated with a crown and bugle badge, along with either regimental button fastenings on either shoulder. Description: Pseudomalachite is an emerald green to dark green and blackish-green, monoclinic mineral consisting of a hydrated basic copper phosphate. It is also known as tagilite. Pseudomalachite is found in oxidized zones of copper deposits. This sample comes with radial fibrous and concentric inner structure, and reniform/botryoidal surface.
The name Pseudomalachite comes from the Greek for “false” and “malachite”, because of its similarity in appearance to the carbonate mineral malachite.
