Here is the latest base mesh for my mecha SRPG game project. It is mainly based on Ball Joint Doll, in order to easily rig and animate for only having rigid body parts, also modular parts to create robots when developing and gameplay~
I tried AICG(stable diffusion) Textures for this girl and was glad to see it. I will go on with Mecha refer to muscle/insect/clothing/monster then level and UI, and think about gameplay/coding and story in the meantime.

I challenged myself to design and model a robot, this dude took me almost a full year to come up with. I’m so bad when it comes to imagining robots and I’m even worse at hard surface modeling. Another challenge I put on myself was to try and not use ball joints, It felt like I was cheating if I used them in my design. One of the biggest lessons I learned from doing this project is that not everything is just not going to be perfect. I spent hours fixing miniscule things, trying to get the perfect alignment when in reality it literally didn’t matter as long it was good enough. The design itself was mainly inspired by Futurama Robots and Team Fortress 2 MVM robots. Anyways I’m happy with what I’ve created. Enjoy!
