Model of Asuka Langley the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion! Posed as she is in her official artwork – spunky and tsundere. I wanted to do a chibi model of Asuka after working on the Mass Produced Evangelion character (also visible on my page!), and in the end I think she came out really cute! I like modeling cute things truthfully as well as figurative characters, so this project was definitely a lot of fun. It was once again a big learning experience though, as I really tried to work on things like facial topology, that anime-feeling style, and being painterly with my textures. I still have a long way to go of course, but this felt like a big milestone that I’m happy to have done! The Maxwell is a next generation proof of concept IDOL, or Integrated Dynamic Options Loader. Built with mass production in mind, the Maxwell is equipped with experimental technology thoroughly tested by earlier prototype machines, introducing cost cutting measures and downsizing to make the technology more favorable for mass production. The goal of the Maxwell was to showcase a high performance machine at a far lower price point, built on a sturdy a modular Basis (Inner frame) that can be adapted to different scenarios and roles. While some of these features were were ultimately scrapped due to their complexity, the Maxwell served its purpose well, selling the future product to the company’s management and paving the way for future mass production units. The Farsia Gundam is an x-Rounder Vagan Mobile Suit , however not everything is as it seems with its pilot Yurin L’ciel at a depper glance. This very Mobile Suit was built with the intent to harness an X-rounder’s ability without the need of direct control of the suit itself with a fairly limited amount of piloting experience as well. Overall, the suit has quite the unique design with its prominently feminine appearance and a complete lack of a transformation mode, instead it utilizes a auxilliary propulsion system in conjunction with remote-controlled Farsia Bits to execute ranged combat against its foes in adition to a beam cannon on its chest as well as a detachable Farsia Sword for closer encounters. Overall this project was a nice but fairly challenging mix between hard-surface and organic-modeling techniques, I also figured I could try and make something more stylized this time. The model was made in Maya and textured in Substance Painter it is also rigged and optimized for real time rendering 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 46166 polygons.
