Nyctosaurus gracilis (Animated) 3D Animated Model 2026-09-16
The founding member of the small pterosaur family Nyctosauridae, Nyctosaurus is often seen as a contemporary of the more famous and somewhat similar genus Pteranodon. They are also related, being members of the much larger group Ornithocheiroidea. They are both present in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas, with Nyctosaurus living through a small part of the late Santonian Stage of the Late Cretaceous, about 85 million years ago. It was short-lived unlike its relative. We also know that Nyctosaurus had a gigantic crest, far larger than its entire body. It was a thin, bony antler-like structure up to 55 centimeters tall with a backward-pointing spar in the middle.

Low poly reconstructed skeleton of the giant sauropod Dreadnoughtus schrani from Southern Patagonia, Argentina. Dreadnoughtus lived during the Late Cretaceous some 70 to 76 million years ago. The missing elements have been filled in with my own sculpted bones based on other titanosaurs. Existing bones themselves have not been repaired. Only two vertebrae have been only very slightly uncrushed. Modified from https://skfb.ly/BSDy by dinosaurhunter under the CC Attribution licence. This is my game ready mesh of Spinosaur with custom pattern. I really like dinosaurs and after completed Monster Hunter I had a lot of inspiration there, so I decided to create one of my favourite monster ;) In this model I tried to make realistic model as much, as possible. I want to make the bestiary of my creatures that I created. According to my interpretation, the Spinosaurs lives in the highlands near the volcanoes. Their pattern growing on their back effectively deters other predators and thanks to this they can easly hunt their favorite meal. They weren’t big, but certainly belonged to the most aggressive and most bloodthirsty dinosaurs, they never let a prey escape from their sharp claws.
