Here's a tribute to Pixar with a low poly recreation of Lightning McQueen from Cars (2006) in action. The recreation included an attempt of more accurate details of the paint-job from the first movie, and an extension of racetrack background. I was fortunate to work as a vehicle / character modeler for THQ on almost all the main cast of Cars WII (2006), and this is me being sentimental down to the memory lane. 3D Model is ready to download for free

Testing my train-rig with an animation on an unrealistic curve
(the curve is a bit to sharp, train would crash in real life).
I’m not 100% happy with the rig but so far it works well , the axes recognize the animation path, steering works and everything is on rail.
Next, I’ll create the rig for the wagons and add some tire rotation.
