Stumbled upon this from a past project originating from the development phase of a game I worked on called Flicker Fortess. During the early stages I was exploring a warm color palette within a 1990s office setting. We ended up not going in this direction thought to still post it here. This was created as part of Ashleigh Warners’ ‘Creating Stylized Game Assets’ course available through CGMA. I completed my first draft last November, but I went back over it and made as many changes as possible to get it to a place I felt confident in sharing. This is MEEPO, or the Mega Express Espresso Processing Operator 3000. The initial idea was to have this retro-futuristic coffee-station diorama that sold a particular kind of mundane story (even if it was in a sort of space-setting). Either way, this is my first fully-completed hand-painted project and I couldn’t be happier! It was created through a mix of Blender, 3Ds Max, 3D Coat, Substance Painter and Photoshop! A chest gilded in gold attracts all who lay eyes upon it for they know it’s got some cool armor inside it. I wanted to make a chest for a fantasy battle royal-like game and this would be a loot chest containing some super cool armor. Originally designed for the Treasure Chest Challenge but left unfinished an abandoned for a while. After watching the Aeon Core texturing tutorials I decided to finish it. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 6556 polygons.
