Le castellum de Horbourg-Wihr est un camp militaire romain datant du quatrième siècle (estimé avec une fourchette d’une quarantaine d’année : 330-370). Ce camp forme un quadrilatère quasi régulier d’environ 170m par côté en mesurant à partir de la face externe, pour une superficie de 2.87 hectares. Le périmètre du camp a pu être établi de manière précise grâce aux travaux de C. Winkler et E.A. Herrenschneider à la fin du 19ème siècle et début 20ème. Néanmoins, de nombreuses informations sur ce camp sont inconnues et c’est pourquoi il a fallu s’appuyer sur des ressources documentaires de sites similaires, encore en état aujourd’hui pour compléter les zones lacunaires 3d model
