This is my scene for the Howest DAE diorama assignment. Before starting my studies at DAE I went on a summer trip to Norway and found the nature there, and in particular the forests, to be very inspiring. I tried to capture some of that experience in the foliage and landscaping of the garden. My main goal for this scene was to make it feel like a believable whole while still keeping a strong overall composition. I really tried to push myself on this one so any feedback will always be appreciated. I did my best to convey the forest loner's story of why he lives where he does. He may be an art thief but I didn't want to commit any actual art theft myself, so the paintings are just some photographs, mostly from Norway. kinda fell in love with this little place - i’d like to live there
learning how to work with maya has been a real pleasure, i was a bit sceptical at first since i started my 3d journey in fusion 360 and blender, maya felt very different and getting to a point of workflow proficiency where i started to really enjoy working took longer than expected. But after spending the past months slowly putting this together, i’ve grown increasingly fond of the software :)
