Photogrammetry of our local Skatepark. Is not the best skatepark… in fact, it has many problems, meaningless obstacles, and incomprehensible geometries, with a floor more abrasive than the hardest sandpaper on the market. But it is located in a unique place, on top of a hill where you can see the sea, and where every time the sun rises, it gives us all day. It is the place where we usually skate, although we like the street a lot, but it is very easy to get there and meet the locals, have a good time and make some ollies. Currently on museum display at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida, this piece originally was located above the ravelin structure - a smaller fortification that provided a first line of defense at the entrance of the fort. This Coat of Arms was removed in 1957 to conserve the piece, and has been on display allowing visitors to the National Park to see it up-close. Today, a replica has been placed where the original Coat of Arms was found. As part of our comprehensive 3D survey, we used structured light scanning and imaging to document both the replica and the original piece. Our data is being used for digital archival preservation, conservation, additional replica creation, and for 3D modeling and public engagement. Our Sketchfab design uses an historic image of the ravelin structure from 1895, showing the Coat of Arms as it was, before its removal.
