Head from an image of the Buddha, 11th-12th century CE, now in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art. From the sculpture’s description on artsmia.org: ‘In what was…one of the wealthiest cities and greatest religious centers of the entire world, ancient Pagan (1044–1287 CE) in central Myanmar (Burma), more than 2,000 Buddhist monuments remain scattered across the arid plain. The largely abandoned brick stupas (reliquary buildings) and temples were once lavishly decorated with multicolored stucco (plaster) molding and sculpture… This sensitively modeled Buddha head reflects the meditative calm and somewhat sweet, humanistic quality associated with art of the neighboring Pala dynasty of Bengal, India. Its Buddhist sculptural traditions had reached Pagan by about 1000 CE through the portable mediums of bronze and terracotta.’ More information here - Head from an image of the Buddha, 11th-12th C CE - Download Free 3D model by Minneapolis Institute of Art (@artsmia) 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 64000 polygons.

More information here This model was scanned and produced with a research process that captures surface texture and specularity more accurately - the research is led by Michael Tetzlaff, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, as part of a research effort that began when Michael was a doctoral student in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. The work is now supported by an NEH grant, and the grant team includes UW-Stout, Cultural Heritage Imaging, and Mia. The Hallisches-Tor-Bruecke (fka. Belle-Alliance-Bruecke), a massive stone bridge after the design of Johann Heinrich Strack and Erich Dietrich, spans the Landwehrkanal since 1876. 1877, four sculptors were tasked with one allegorical marble sculpture (relating to the meaning of the Landwehrkanal) each. Bildhauer Eduard Lürssen (1840-1891) - Gewerbefleiss - fragmented in WWII Friedrich Reusch (1843-1906) - Fruchthandel - disappeared in WWII Julius Moser - Fischfang - restored to the original site Otto Geyer (1843-1914) - Flussschifffahrt - restored to the original site The latter two were removed 1902 for aesthetic reasons after the nearby railway station was expandedin 1902 and placed in front of the Kreuzberger Melanchtonkirche am Planufer where they escaped destruction during WWII. The Melanchtonkirche (church) was heavily damaged and explosively demolished in 1957. In this test I wanted to test how much there is difference when baking normals and AO from much higher polycount mesh. 28 million mesh (A7R IV) vs. 16 million mesh (D5300). Both models have been decimated to 800k meshes. It was a part cloudy day so i used AWB with both cameras. Personally i’m surprised that almost double the polycount shows on minimal difference when baking 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1617841 polygons.
