This house was once belonged to a timber baron in a small Northern California city. But after the logging industry went bust, it’s owner abandoned it to the elements. While not a complete ruin, this house will need a lot of TLC to bring it back to it’s former glory.
This house was an experiment for me in tileable materials and seeing how far I could get using nothing but Photoshop for texture creation instead of my usual go to, Substance Painter. Most of these materials started out with a diffuse texture I either photographed myself or found on CGtextures.com. I then created the normal, spec, emmisive, etc in Photoshop.
I think this technique works well if you’re going to be putting the model into an engine like Unity or Unreal. The textures hold up at very close and they can be used across many different buildings or props you may have in your game. Also being able to add secondary textures would allow for more variations like grunge.

I was inspired by the Victorian “Love Seats” as those seats have a very organic and interesting looking shapes, I also wanted to incorporate a heart shape into the design to give it a stronger focal point and to reiterate why these are called love seats.
This model is fully textured in PBR and is suitable to be used in games, animations and advertising, it goes well in but are not limited to vintage, Victorian, classical, whimsical, fantasy settings.
