This is a 3D model of a cast of the Terme Ruler, an ancient bronze statue in the Museo Nazionale Palazzo Massimo in Rome. The cast is made of plaster and is in Statens Musueum for Kunst in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Terme Ruler depicts a man with a disproportionately muscular body, especially when compared to its more modestly shaped head. Estimations date this statue to near the 2nd century BCE, comparing it to the Terme Boxer, particularly in hair style. Developed as part of assginment that required to create a scene using modular assets.
The concept is largely a mock-up of a mini-golf game with pinball elements. To add onto the appeal of these pasttimes, a retro flavor inspired by Nitrome games and Sonic is heavily incoporated into the visual design of the scene, whilst keeping a stylised detailed look to it, which takes cues from Super Mario Odyssey and Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe.
